BLOCK PLANS

Fire Hydrant Block Plans provide emergency personnel, such as the Fire Brigade, to quickly access and determine the location of various fire services, such as fire hydrants, hose reels and other relevant fire valves. Block plans also provide additional critical fire information such as water pressures and location of sprinkler systems.

It is mandatory for Block Plans to be installed where a booster assembly is present. Block Plans must be installed within the booster cabinet itself, as well as the Fire Control Room and Pump Room, where they are present, as mentioned in AS2419.1. In addition each diagram must be weather and fade resistant.

It is common for many buildings to have outdated or incorrect block plans. This can present safety issues for emergency personnel in the case of a fire. To ensure that Block Plans correctly reflect the buildings fire services, block plans are required to be regularly reviewed.

If you have recently made alterations to your building, or think your facilities block plans may be out of date, contact us for a quote to bring them back into compliance.
